About Me
I build and configure scientific instruments for a living, which suits me well because I like understanding how things work. That tendency spills into the rest of my life: I build my own 3D printers, design electronics, keep vehicles running, and run a home server because I'd rather host my own services than trust someone else's cloud. When I need to step away from the technical stuff, I make music and grow things in the garden. My partner and I are having a house built in the woods in central Virginia. We're hoping to move in with our two dogs and two cats within the next couple of months.
